  2. Project title
  3. Log line
  4. Page count
  5. Genre(s)
  6. Type of service (Coverage or Notes)
  7. The format you'd prefer for your order. Standard format is an email delivery as an MS Word document. You can also request .rtf or .pdf electronic formats. Hard copies are available, but require a SASE (see below).
Queries may be sent to:

-- or --
Spastic Weasel Media

Burbank, CA 91506

I will respond with scheduling availability.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND UNSOLICITED SCRIPTS.
DUE TO LIABILITY, THEY WILL BE DISCARDED UNOPENED.

STEP 2:    MATERIALS SUBMISSION
After receiving your query, I can invite you to submit your work. Submission packages contain three (3) elements.

1. YOUR SCREENPLAY: As either electronic or hard copy. Please be sure that it conforms to industry standard formatting. [link to SCRIPT FORMAT below]

ELECTRONIC: As an email attachment in Final Draft, .pdf, or .rtf format. For Final Draft, I recommend a secure file format (.fds). Scripts in .pdf and .rtf formats should reflect standard screenplay formatting conforming to industry standards.

HARD COPY: Via regular mail to: Spastic Weasel Media, 1402 W. Victory Blvd., Ste. F, Burbank, CA 91506.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SCRIPTS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR ONLY COPY OF YOUR WORK!

2. SIGNED RELEASE FORM: My response to your query will include a general submission release. You may enclose it with a hard copy or attach a scanned copy to your e-submission. I CANNOT READ YOUR SCRIPT WITHOUT A SIGNED RELEASE.

3. FEE: A check or money order for the applicable fee made out to "Kevin Walsh".

HARD COPY SASE: If you'd like a hard copy of your documents delivered via US mail, please enclose a SASE with your submission materials.

COVERAGE: Business envelope w/ $0.35 postage
NOTES: 9x12 envelope w/ $1.20 postage

RELEASE FORMS: Release forms are standard industry documentation used in all submissions made without representation. A release form states that I AM NOT buying your work and that you ARE NOT SELLING ANY OF YOUR RIGHTS to your material. Releases also provide protection from frivolous lawsuits. That is also the purpose of the query -- if it indicates your premise is similar to an idea I'm developing, I'll have to refuse to read your script. As a writer and industry professional, I must offer this mutual protection in the same manner as any agency, production company or studio that reviews unsold material.

STANDARD FORMAT: This generally is not an issue for Final Draft documents. However, .pdf and .rtf documents should confirm to standard formatting as outlined in any number of books about screenplays. If you submit a hard copy, please be sure the paper is three-hole-punched and fastened with two brass brads only. Blank cardstock covers are optional. Please no embossed, covers, spiral binding, paper clips or rubber bands. In all cases, scripts should employ 12-point Courier font with 1-inch margins for slug lines and action.
