Resume - Who Am I?

My name is Kevin Walsh and since 1995 I have worked as a professional writer and story analyst for various entertainment companies in Los Angeles.

I graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a degree in Cinema-Television Production. I have since written for features, television and the internet.

I co-wrote the feature THE RALLY for Warner Bros., as well as several screenplays that have won competition honors via American Accolades, Applause, WriteMovies, Scriptpartnerships and Find the Funny.

I wrote comedy for NATIONAL LAMPOON ONLINE and MONDO MEDIA on the web and co-created and wrote the Boom! Studios comic book SALEM: QUEEN OF THORNS, as well as contributing to other titles such as ZOMBIE TALES.

As a story analyst, I've worked for top studios and production companies, including PARAMOUNT VANTAGE, IMAGEMOVERS, CASTLE ROCK, MANDALAY PICTURES, SCOTT FREE, TURNER and SAVOY. I've covered thousands of submissions ranging from screenplays to teleplays to manuscripts to graphic novels.

As a Senior Story Analyst for DREAMWORKS SKG, I have generated hundreds of pages of studio notes on projects including TRANSFORMERS, EAGLE EYE, THE RUINS, THE LOVELY BONES, THE UNINVITED, A THOUSAND WORDS, THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE, NORBIT, HOTEL FOR DOGS, RED EYE, THE ISLAND, ROAD TO PERDITION, GALAXY QUEST, ROAD TRIP, THE TIME MACHINE, and THE LEGEND OF ZORRO.

Additionally, I've taught a course on coverage at DreamWorks and served as a judge for the Carnegie-Mellon and Century City screenplay contests, as well as a guest lecturer for the Columbia College of Chicago Screenwriting Course.
